The town of 5,500 inhabitants, Biograd na Moru, also known as the “white town by the sea”, is located in northern Dalmatia between the resorts of Pakostane and Sveti Filip i Jakov. This vacation destination is most famous for its beautiful coastline, where numerous great beaches and bays surrounded by dense pine forests offer the perfect conditions for a beach vacation. Families with children also love Biograd na Moru, where, among other things, a really great amusement park, water bounce castles, playgrounds and a Luna Park provide plenty of action.
The tourist center is formed by the romantic old town and the pretty waterfront promenade, which connects the town center with the marina and the many beaches. Here you will find numerous good restaurants, cozy bars, nice cafés as well as some stores and boutiques that invite to go on strolls. In the evening, clubs also open in the area, where you can party until early in the morning.

The Center & Old Town
Probably one of the most important attractions is the historical old town of Biograd. Together with the harbor and the promenade, it forms the tourist center. Walking through the small streets, there are many beautiful squares and attractions to discover. If you are interested in the history of Biograd, you should visit the local museum, where archaeological finds and an ethnographic collection are exhibited. Absolutely worth seeing is the church of St. Anastasia, located in the middle of the old town; its imposing 33-meter-high steeple can be seen from afar.
Beautiful is also the tourist center next to the old town. Decorated with palm trees, the many colorful buildings and the fabulous restaurants, it is the meeting place for tourists but also for locals. The lively hustle and bustle is best enjoyed in one of the many good cafés overlooking the sea, or in the fabulous konobas, where tasty Dalmatian specialties are served!
The Coastal Promenade
The coastal promenade of Biograd is also picturesque. It leads directly from the center to many of the most beautiful beaches of the resort. Particularly idyllic are the fragrant pine forests, which exude a unique Mediterranean flair and moreover are fabulous shade providers. Along the promenade you will always find snack bars, beach clubs and cafés, where, especially in summer, there is an exuberant vacation atmosphere. Several opportunities for water sports such as SUP, pedal boating and kayaking, but also playgrounds for children, a Luna park and a large water slide provide entertainment.
Dalmaland Biograd
The Dalmaland Biograd, formerly also known as Fun Park Biograd, is one of the most popular attractions of the resort and a real must on any trip, especially for families but also for adrenaline junkies. In this great amusement park, you can expect really exciting rides, which are suitable for young and old. A roller coaster ride on the Big Blue, the fast-paced Tornado and the Adriatic Eye Ferris wheel are some of the best attractions in the park. Thus, the Fun Park is a great contrast to the beach and the sea and worth a trip even if the weather is not so nice.
The Beaches in Biograd
The beaches in Biograd turn the resort into a popular vacation destination in Croatia. Numerous pretty bays stretch along the coast, inviting visitors to sunbathe, splash around and snorkel. Most of the bays are fine pebble bays, stone beaches and also sandy beaches, where dreamlike sea colors, the cleanliness and the idyllic ambience score many points.
Drazica Beach
The Plaza Drazica is the beautiful main beach of Biograd. It is located a little south of the center and can be reached on foot via the coastal promenade in a few minutes. This wonderful, long pebble beach inspires with dreamlike sea colors, and especially families with children appreciate this shallowly sloping bay. Thanks to the top facilities and water quality, this stretch of coast has been awarded the Blue Flag. Fantastic is also the wide range of leisure facilities, where a large water slide, water sports rental, parasailing, banana boat, among others, provide the necessary action during your vacation.
Tip: About 5 minutes from the beach is Villa Maimare, a fabulous guesthouse with delicious breakfast and beautiful rooms!
Soline Beach
Beach Soline is located a bit further south of Plaza Drazica and is one of the most beautiful beaches in Biograd. This dream bay is a fabulous mix of very fine pebble and sandy beach that slopes gently into the sea, and is popular with families with young children as well as older guests. Along the promenade you will also find numerous beach bars, cafés and restaurants that cater for your culinary needs. The many pine trees around the bay are also incredible and provide perfect shade, especially on hot summer days.
Tip: You can find several great mobile homes near the beach. Really popular is the Lucija Mobile Home and the accommodation units of the Campsite Sunny Home Soline.
Bosana Beach
The beautiful beach Bosana is located north of Biograd and can be reached by a short walk from the center. Here you can swim on a clean pebble beach, where the sea shines in the most beautiful turquoise blue colors. The ambiance is a bit quieter than the busy main resort beaches, yet you’ll find a small selection of snack bars, water sports activities, a playground and a volleyball court. Most importantly, the accommodations on this stretch of beach are a great choice for a vacation.
Tip: Just behind the beach are some wonderful vacation rentals, such as the modern apartments Villa Marija II, which are perfect for a quiet beach vacation in Biograd.
Beach Crvena Luka Resort
A real insider tip among the most beautiful beaches of Biograd is Plaza Crvena Luka. This long bay surrounded by pine forests, equipped with countless bathing spots and even a beautiful sandy beach, is somewhat hidden in the south of the resort and is part of the great Crvena Luka Resort. Not only guests of the resort come to this dream beach. Behind the hotel complex, there are enough parking spaces for non-hotel guests, but many also come by kayak or hike along the coast.
Tip: Directly in the bay is the Crvena Luka Resort, a beautiful 4-star hotel with beautiful villas and apartments.
Kumenat Beach
In a stunning location, a bit away from the tourist center, you will find Beach Kumenat. This small dream beach is hidden directly below a vacation settlement and is usually only visited by its vacation guests. Impressive are the Caribbean turquoise blue sea colors, which make this bay something exceptional. The water is also crystal clear and ideal to go snorkeling.
Tip: Not far from the beach are the beautiful apartments of Apartmani Kumenat, which delight guests with modern furnishings and good location.
Excursions from Biograd
