Magganari Beach

A real highlight of the island is the magnificent Magganari Beach, considered by connoisseurs to be the most beautiful beach on Ios. The iconic W-shape of the bay, which offers an incomparable panorama, is particularly unique. The double bay is surrounded by an idyllic landscape and the white sand with the turquoise blue sea create a true postcard scene. Kolitsani beach is a nudist beach on Ios, but nudism is not mandatory and swimwear is tolerated. There are no tavernas or bars nearby, so you should bring some food and drinks with you.

Agia Theodoti Beach

The wonderful Paralia Agia Theodoti is a real gem on Ios and definitely one of the beaches that should not be missed on any vacation. This picturesque, elongated bay is very remote in the northeast of the island, but can be easily reached by scooter or rental car. Loretzaina Beach

The Loretzaina Beach is located on the secluded west coast of Ios island, about 6 kilometers from Ios town, and is a perfect choice for those looking for a quiet and very natural hidden beach. If you’re lucky, you might even have the whole bay to yourself in the off-season. There are no sunbeds or tavernas, so you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the main beaches. Particularly beautiful is the unique idyll that surrounds this natural cove. The sea is a beautiful turquoise, and thanks to the natural environment there are also excellent snorkeling opportunities.

There are no shady spots on Loretzaina beach, so bring plenty of sunscreen and a small umbrella if necessary. The best way to get there is by rental car or scooter. There are several parking lots behind the bay.

Psathi Beach

One of the highlights of Ios is the magnificent Psathi Beach! It is very secluded on the quiet east coast of the island, but can be easily reached by rental car or scooter. The road to get there is picturesque in itself and the drive there is an unforgettable experience. A first class Cycladic flair awaits you at Psathi beach. The golden sand, the turquoise blue of the sea and the relaxed atmosphere guarantee unforgettable beach days on Ios. The water is beautifully clear and ideal for snorkeling. There are a few tamarisk trees behind the beach, which provide pleasant shade, especially on hot summer days.
