The beautiful waterfront, the so-called Riva, is one of the most important attractions in Krk Town. It forms the extremely charming tourist center of the resort and leads from the port to the old town and on to the beautiful beaches of the coast. On the way, you will be amazed by the romantic atmosphere, the countless rocking fishing boats in the harbor, and also many small cafés invite to linger with a view of the sea.
Tip: In the high season, small stalls open along the promenade, where you can buy regional souvenirs and homemade goods.
Frankopan Castle
The Frankopan Castle is probably the most famous attraction in Krk city. It is located on Kamplin Square and was built between the 12th and 15th centuries by the noble family Frankopan. At that time, it served to protect the population from enemy attacks. Today, you can visit this imposing fortress for only a small fee. During a tour along the wall, visitors are amazed by the fabulous view of the city and the turquoise sea.

The City Hall & Vela Placa Square
The Vela Placa Square, also known as the “big square”, is definitely one of the most beautiful spots in the old town. Krk Cathedral

The cathedral was built as early as the 5th century, and right next to it is the 12th century church of Sveti Kvirin and the Diocesan Museum. Here you can see a precious sacral collection, an altarpiece that dates back to the 15th century and a baroque wooden pulpit.
The Monastery Quarter
The Monastery Quarter is a pretty highlight that should not be missed on any tour of the city. It is located on the hill of the old town and houses several medieval monasteries, as well as churches and chapels. Interesting is the Franciscan monastery and the church of Our Lady of Health from the early Middle Ages. In addition, in a small alley you can find the Benedictine monastery from the 13th century with the small chapel of St. Anne.

Beach Camping Jezevac
The Plaza Jezevac is definitely one of the absolute most beautiful beaches in Krk Town and is located in the campsite of the same name, just a few minutes’ walk from the old town. Along the picturesque coastline there are several beautiful bays where you can enjoy swimming, splashing around and sunbathing. In addition, the campground offers a wide range of water sports activities, and good restaurants provide for your physical well-being.
Tip: A real insider tip for a vacation are the great mobile homes at Campsite Jezevac. Especially the beautiful accommodation units in the first row directly at the sea are very popular!
Portapisana Beach
The beach Portapisana is located directly beneath Krk old town and is perfect if you want to combine sun, beach, and sea with sightseeing. Here you can enjoy a mix of concrete beach and very fine pebble beach, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the old town while sunbathing. The sea is extremely clear on this stretch of coast and shines in the most beautiful water colors.
