Getting there by ferry is either possible from the ferry port Valbiska on Krk Island directly to Lopar or from the ferry port Misnjak, which is located on the other side of the island.

The main beach and at the same time the most important attraction is the paradise beach “Rajska plaza”, which attracts with numerous bars, restaurants and entertainment. Another highlight is also the breathtaking natural sandy beaches on the peninsula of Lopar, where you can enjoy many romantic bays in a quiet setting.
Paradise Beach (Rajska Plaža Beach)
The Paradise Beach, also called Rajska Plaza, is probably the most famous beach in Lopar. It forms the tourist center in the resort, and families with small children also appreciate this bathing bay. On a length of almost 2 kilometers, you can enjoy a shallow sandy beach, which offers plenty of space for sunbathing, playing and building sandcastles. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, numerous bars and restaurants, and a wide range of water sports activities are also offered. The view of the offshore island of Otočić Lukovina is also stunning, which together with the turquoise sea conjures up a picturesque backdrop.
Tip: The cozy mobile homes of San Marino Camping Resort and the modern apartments of Apartmani Villa Zora near the beach are especially popular on the Paradise Beach.
Livačina Beach
The sandy beach Livacina is a beautiful beach in Lopar, not far from the popular Paradise Beach. This gorgeous bathing bay slopes gently into the sea, and the crystal clear warm water truly invites you to splash and swim. A real eye-catcher are the rocks at the northern end of the beach, which form a kind of peninsula and, together with the turquoise sea, create a wildly romantic atmosphere. Moreover, the tourist offer at Livacina beach is fabulous, with restaurants and beach bars providing the necessary food and drinks.
Tip: Only a few hundred meters away is a small vacation settlement. There is the apartments House with Sea View, which will delight guests with a fabulous location and a beautiful view!
Sahara Beach
The Sahara Beach is a real highlight in Lopar. Far away from the hustle and bustle, this dream bay attracts with a wonderful natural sandy beach in an absolutely spectacular landscape. Fascinating is the untouched nature, but also the unique tranquility that surrounds this bay, making Plaza Sahara something very special in Lopar. The beach is located a bit away from the center, on the peninsula of the same name Lopar and can be reached only by a 20-30 minute hike or a bike ride. FKK is possible on this beach, but many bathers are also clothed.
Tip: There are no bars or restaurants on site. For a hike to the Sahara beach, good shoes, enough food and sun protection are advisable.
Plaza Lopar Beach
Lopar beach, also known as Plaza Veli Mel, is located directly in the village on the opposite side of Paradise beach, and is an excellent choice for a quiet beach vacation. This sandy beach also slopes very gently into the sea, and is therefore very popular with families with small children. But also older people, couples and people looking for peace and quiet love to come here to enjoy relaxing vacations on Rab Island. Also great are the authentic restaurant and the beautiful beach bar, which invite to enjoy with a view of the sea.
Tip: The Apartments Marina are located right near the beach and score points with great facilities and a feel-good atmosphere.
Kozica Beach
The Plaza Kozica is uniquely beautiful and a real highlight. This breathtaking pebble bay is located in the south of Lopar and inspires with absolute dream scenery. Especially impressive are the breathtaking turquoise blue sea colors, which together with the rocks and the snow-white pebbles conjure up a picture like from a travel catalog! Thanks to the seclusion, a quiet ambience awaits you even in the high season, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
Tip: A great choice is the new Zlatni Zalaz Apartments. It’s the only accommodation on this beach, and moreover, it delights with a great infinity pool and fabulous restaurant.
Sturic Beach
The beach Sturic is a real insider tip! It is located directly in the Geopark Rab, on the peninsula of Lopar, and can only be reached on foot via a 15-minute walk through the forest or by boat. Here, guests can swim on a beautiful sandy beach, which even in the high season scores with a quiet ambience. The shallow sea is also unique, where you can wade out hundreds of meters until you are chest deep in water.
Tip: In Geopark Rab you will not only find great beaches. On a coastal hike, there are over 50 marked geological points, including a variety of interesting fossils to discover.
Luria Beach
Plaza Luria is a natural dream beach on the Lopar peninsula. This bay is also located in the beautiful Geopark Rab and can be reached in a few minutes on foot from the parking lot there. A real highlight is not only the fine, light sand and the turquoise sea, but also the stone formations that make this picturesque bay a really worth visiting. Especially couples and those seeking peace and quiet, appreciate the romantic bathing spots of this natural jewel.
