The history of the village goes back to the Middle Ages about 900 years ago. At that time, Petrcane was owned by the monasteries of St. Chrysogonus and St. Plato from Zadar. Today, the building of the former St. Bartholomew’s Church from the 12th century with the bell tower is still preserved.
