The village of Platios Gialos is located in the picturesque south of Mykonos Island, close to Psarou Beach and about 5 kilometers from Mykonos Town and 3 kilometers from the airport. Surrounded by gentle hills, this beautiful bay is protected from high waves and strong winds due to its southern location. The jewel of the resort is Platios Gialos Beach, an absolute paradise sandy beach with the most beautiful turquoise blue sea colors. With a length of approximately 300 meters and a width of up to 30 meters, it offers plenty of space for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming. Most of the beach is equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds, which can be rented for a fee. There is also an excellent tourist offer with chic restaurants, bars, boutiques, water sports facilities and a small harbor for boat trips.

But not only Platios Gialos is a beautiful place, the surrounding area is also absolutely worth seeing. If you like, you can take a hike along the coast, past magnificent bays that lead to the legendary party beach of Paradise Beach. At the start of the trail, just around the corner from the resort, is “Hidden Beach“, an insider’s tip for quiet days of swimming. The town of Mykonos, which is only 5 kilometers away, is also well worth a visit and can be easily reached by taking the public bus from Platios Gialos. How to get to Platios Gialos

It is relatively easy to get to Mykonos. There is an international airport on the island and flights are also available from Athens. Another option is to take the ferry. Once on the island, Platios Gialos is about 7 km from the port and 3 km from the airport. The quickest way is by taxi, but there are also regular bus connections. You can also rent a scooter, a quad bike or a car to get around. Some accommodations in Platios Gialos also offer a pick-up service from the airport or port.
