General Information about Rogoznica
The municipality of 2,500 inhabitants, Rogoznica, is located between the famous cities Sibenik and Trogir and is often affectionately called the “heart of Dalmatia”. Here, the North Adriatic separates from the South Adriatic, which is also reflected in the climate. Thus, 2,600 hours of sunshine per year promise pleasant Mediterranean weather, and moreover, the magnificent beaches of Rogoznica guarantee perfect bathing pleasure. The history of Rogoznica as a tourist destination dates back to 1870, when the first hotel was opened by the Lusic-Rankovic family. Today, the resort also has a large marina, which essentially characterizes the coastal panorama.
The most important attractions are considered to be the Dragon’s Eye Lake, an oval saltwater lake right next to the village, and the charming old town of Rogoznica, which is located on a green peninsula. The surrounding area is also worth seeing! Old Town & Waterfront
One of the most important attractions of Rogoznica and at the same time, the heart of the resort is the historic old town. It is located on the Kopara peninsula and is connected to the new part of the town by a causeway. Especially pretty are the many Dalmatian stone houses and the winding alleys, which give the town center an extremely enchanting look. During a walk along the palm-lined promenade, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the bay and the marina on the opposite side. Especially in the morning, but also in the evening, tourists, as well as locals, meet in one of the many cozy cafés and good restaurants to enjoy the magnificent scenery.
In the historical old town of Rogoznica there are some interesting monuments and attractions. A walk through the city center reveals several pretty squares and small churches. Absolutely worth seeing is the parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Built in the 17th century, this imposing church is still enthroned on the highest point of Rogoznica and fascinates with a breathtaking view.

The Dragon Eye Lake
The Dragon’s Eye Lake, also known as the “Eye of the Dragon” or Zmajevo oko, is definitely the most important attraction in Rogoznica! It is located directly behind the marina, nestled in beautiful nature and surrounded by rock walls up to 24 meters high. This spectacular natural jewel probably owes its mystical name to its oval eye shape, but also to the legend, according to which a dragon is said to live in the lake. The depth of this azure lake is almost 60 meters and its water level rises and falls with the tide.
What is unique is that you can even swim in the dragon’s eye lake. Ladders lead down into the rather warm salt water, and small rocky outcrops also attract brave cliff jumpers here. A great experience that you won’t forget that soon!
Marina Frapa
Opposite the historical center of Rogoznica is Marina Frapa. This huge marina is one of the most beautiful and modern in Croatia. Walking along the promenade, one is amazed by the abundance of luxury yachts and sailboats that drop anchor here in this marina. The restaurants and bars are also fabulous, where you can enjoy Croatian delicacies served in a magnificent setting overlooking the old town. A long promenade connects the beach with the old town, or you can come by car because parking is available. Moreover, there is a wonderful view of the historical center, which you can enjoy while swimming in the crystal clear water. The beach slopes quite gently and is therefore also suitable for families with children.

Beach Gornji Muli
Beach Gornji Muli is a real insider tip among the most beautiful bays of Rogoznica. During your vacation, you can expect an exceptionally beautiful ambience and a lot of peace and quiet! Also great are the fragrant pine trees on the beach, which provide the necessary shade especially on hot summer days and give the pebble bay a Mediterranean flair.

Sepurina Beach
Beautiful and another popular beach highlight is Plaza Sepurina. It is one of the main beaches in the resort and is especially popular with families and children. Here you will find everything that makes the vacationer’s heart beat faster: There are sunbeds with umbrellas for rent, great restaurants, beach bars and entertainment such as pedal boats, a water bouncy castle and a children’s playground. In addition, the sea here is wonderfully clear and shines in the most beautiful turquoise blue colors. On the upper section, there is also a dog beach, perfect if you are traveling with your four-legged friend! Further north, however, there are other great bays, such as Plaza Lozica.
Tip: Only 20 meters from the beach are the Apartments Villa Ella. The apartments with a fabulous terrace are modern and well-equipped!
Perla Beach
The Perla beach is located right next to the 4-star Hotel Perla and is a fabulous choice for a quiet vacation in Rogoznica. This white pebble cove is located a bit away from the center, yet it is easily accessible via the main road. Once you arrive, you’ll enjoy a picturesque pebble beach with clear sea and fabulous water colors. Since mostly only hotel guests swim here, this beach is never crowded even in high season and is a great choice for a relaxing vacation.
