Jamaica Beach
The Jamaica Beach is a real celebrity on Lake Garda and is considered the most beautiful beach in Sirmione. It is located on the northern tip of the peninsula, near the “Grotte di Catullo” archaeological site. The beach is especially unique because of its large white stones. Together with the turquoise water and the green trees, they give the beach a Caribbean flair. This dream beach can be reached by a 1.4-kilometer walk from the old town of Sirmione. Alternatively, a charming tourist train is available. This iconic beach lives up to its name, as its exotic appearance is indeed reminiscent of Jamaica or Hawaii.
Tip: The Villa Paradiso is an insider’s tip near Jamaica Beach. It is also in a very good location, very close to the old part of town and to other beautiful beaches.
Lido delle Bionde Beach
One of the most popular beaches in Sirmione is the Lido delle Bionde Beach. This wonderful beach is located on the eastern side of the Sirmione peninsula and can be reached in just a few minutes from the town center along the promenade. The walk there is an experience in itself, overlooking the turquoise waters of Lake Garda. Once there, you will find a large pebble beach surrounded by beautiful nature. There is a green lawn with sunbeds for rent, a long pier for sunbathing and a restaurant for your physical well-being. If you like, you can also rent a pedal boat to explore the other beaches of Sirmione.
Tip: The Villa Cortine Palace Hotel is the perfect place for a luxurious beach vacation. The hotel has a private beach and the Lido delle Bionde is not far away.
Lido di Lugana Beach
The Spiaggia Lido di Lugana, also known as Santa Maria di Lugana Beach, is a real gem on Lake Garda. Vacationers love the unique mix of sandy beach, fine pebbles and turquoise blue water that make this part of the lake the perfect place to swim. Families with children and the elderly also feel at home here. The well-kept green lawns are particularly beautiful, and during the summer months you can rent parasols and sunbeds at reasonable prices. There is also a picturesque promenade for strolling, and several beach bars serving good Aperol Spritzes, cappuccinos and snacks.
Tip: The Hotel Bolero is the perfect place for a beach vacation. This charming hotel is just a few minutes from the lake and also has a pool.
Brema Sirmione Beach
The Brema Beach is an ideal bathing spot for a relaxing vacation in Sirmione. Located on the western coast of the peninsula, in the Colombare district, this particularly idyllic stretch of the lake is considered by connoisseurs to be a true oasis of relaxation. Set in a picturesque landscape overlooking the Scaligero Castle, Spiaggia Brema Sirmione is loved by those seeking peace and quiet, couples and the elderly. What’s more, this pebble beach is well maintained and offers a large sunbathing area with some trees for shade. In season, sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented, and a beach bar offers refreshments.
Tip: There are some great apartments just behind the beach. One recommendation is the Appartamenti Residence Tulipano in the first row on the lake.
Galeazzi Beach
The Galeazzi Beach, better known as Lido Beach Galeazzi, is a wonderful place for swimming and sunbathing. This enchanting bathing place is located in the eastern part of the Sirmione peninsula, in the Colombare district, just below the small port of Galeazzi. The romantic promenade along the shore, passing by several well-kept sunbathing lawns, is simply enchanting. Access to the turquoise water is only possible via piers and steps, which makes the beach no less recommendable. You can also rent a boat or, as an alternative, a pedal boat on the spot and admire the scenery from the water.
Tip: There are only a few parking spaces available near the beach. These can fill up quickly, especially in high season, so it’s worth arriving early.
Punta Gro Beach
Among the most beautiful beaches of Sirmione, Punta Gro Beach is a real insider tip. It is located in the very south of the town and can be reached by bike along the lakeside promenade or by car. Parking is available just behind the beach. The idyllic setting of Spiaggia Punta Gro is truly unique. Numerous tall trees provide pleasant shade in the hot summer, sunbathing lawns offer plenty of space to relax and beach bars provide refreshments. The entrance to the lake is also pleasant, as the water is very shallow, and the pebble beach turns into a sandy beach after a few meters.
Tip: The popular Villaggio Turistico Lugana Marina offers various types of accommodation such as mobile homes and apartments in perfect proximity to the beach.
Spiaggia del Prete
The Spiaggia del Prete is the perfect beach if you want to cool off after an action-packed day of sightseeing in Sirmione. Thanks to its location, this small pebble beach is ideal for a quick dip on hot summer days. It is located just behind the famous Scaligero Castle and can be reached on foot from the old town in just a few minutes. The water is beautifully clear and the turquoise color of the water forms a spectacular contrast to the castle. We also recommend a visit to the colorful bar La Torre, where you can enjoy the unique beach atmosphere with a delicious aperitif.
Tip: From the Spiaggia del Prete there is a footpath that leads along the beautiful promenade to the famous beach of the Spiaggia Lido del Bionde.
