General Information about Stobrec
Stobrec, which has about 3,000 inhabitants, is situated on a peninsula only 6 kilometers from Split and is often referred to as the suburb of the world-famous harbor town Split. Thanks to the proximity to the coastal metropolis, one can enjoy the benefits of the vibrant nightlife. Shop in the large shopping centers in the area, explore the old town and swim at the beautiful beaches of Stobrec during the day. The palm-lined waterfront promenade is also picturesque, with numerous cozy cafés that make you want to relax. In addition, the holiday resort is located directly on the Adriatic coastal road, another advantage if you would love to make excursions to the most beautiful attractions in the area.
The history of Stobrec dates back to the 3rd century, when the first Greek settlement of Epetion was established. Ancient remains of the town wall still bear witness to this time. The town was mentioned in documents as early as 1080 and later in the Middle Ages it gained great fame thanks to its brines and water mills. Today, Stobrec is a popular holiday resort where, especially campers and individual tourists love to spend their holidays. For example, the Storbec Split campsite is suitable for camping fans and the many privately run apartments also offer great accommodations, some of which are right by the sea!

The beautiful beaches in Stobrec make this holiday resort a really popular bathing destination in Croatia. Along the coast you will find some really beautiful bays that are ideal for a holiday by the sea. Most of the beaches are fine pebble beaches, but some are sandy beaches. Every beach fascinates visitors with amazing sea colors and perfect cleanliness.
Camp Stobrec Beach
The Camp Stobrec beach, also known as the south beach, is located directly in the town center between the picturesque promenade and the campsite. It is the beautiful main beach of the resort and very popular with both tourists and locals. Here, the sea slopes relatively shallowly and the pebbles are also quite fine, which is especially appreciated by families with children as well as older people. Other great offers are the water bouncy castle and the kayak, pedal boat and SUP rentals, which provide the necessary action for the young and the young at heart.
For refreshments, there are several bars, cafés, and restaurants along the romantic beach promenade, where visitors can soak in the enchanting panorama of Stobrec in a relaxed atmosphere. There is also a small supermarket with cool drinks and snacks in the immediate vicinity.

Stobrec Beach
The wonderful and pretty Stobrec Beach is located in the campsite of the same name, Camp Stobrec-Split, and is another jewel of the resort. The breathtaking backdrop with the mighty mountains in the background is particularly fabulous and gives this beach that certain something. A great mix of pebble and sandy beaches awaits you when you go swimming, where the crystal-clear sea and the enchanting blue watercolors will delight you for sure. It’s not for nothing that the Blue Flag flies here, an award for cleanliness, great facilities and top sea quality.
The long bay is divided into several beach sections. The Fitness Beach is also really cool, where you can work out with a view of the sea for a small fee. Campers also enjoy a wide range of entertainment at the 4-star campsite. There are several pools and during the high season they offer different programs, such as aqua aerobics and aqua Zumba. If you like, you can also rent a mobile home here.
Stobrec Jug Beach
Beach Stobrec Jug is beautiful and absolutely recommendable. In this impressive bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in Split awaits you. The sea here is crystal clear and shines in the most beautiful turquoise watercolors. Right behind it is the rocky coast, which conjures up a breathtaking panorama with its many green pine trees. In addition, this beach is rather quiet and rarely overcrowded. Even in the high season, you can still find a spot below the sun. The sea drops off quickly along this stretch of coast, which is especially enjoyable for swimmers! Behind the beach, on a small hill, there is a beach bar with an outstanding view. There are also several accommodations near the beach that are just ideal for a holiday!
Tip: The pretty Apartment Marija is in a prime location just above the beach, and the center is also not far away on foot.
